Pre-Diabetic: 5,7-6,4

Diabetic: ≥6,5

HbA1c

HbA1c measures the average blood sugar levels over the past 3 months. This test can be used to help diagnose diabetes or prediabetes and can be used for monitoring the ones with this condition. Another way to measure diabetes is glucose, although it has the inconvenience of a great variability throughout the day because it depends on your diet. Glucose attaches to the hemoglobin in your red cells and these cells can live around a 3 month period. For this reason % HbA1c could give you an overall state of your condition and be very helpful in monitoring diabetes disease.
