The test was specifically designed for women or people who were assigned female at birth. Common symptoms of thyroid disease can be confused with signs of aging which makes it difficult to detect without testing it.
Some of the most common symptoms can include:
- Thinning hair;
- Irregular heartbeat (fast or slow);
- Muscle weakness;
- Fatigue and lack of energy;
- Shakings and tremors.
What does it measure:
Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH)
Thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) is a hormone produced by the pituitary gland of the brain. TSH stimulates the thyroid gland to produce thyroxine (T4) and triiodothyronine (T3). These hormones regulate the body’s metabolism and functions like energy expenditure, cardiac function, muscle physiology and substrate turnover.
Reference Values | TSH (mU/L)

Hyperthyroidism: >4,5
