Anybody can experience thyroid issues but there are people who are more susceptible than others. Women have more probability of suffering for thyroid problems than men;

• People with a family history of thyroid issues;
• Adults more than 50 years old;
• If you have Diabetes type 1;
• Women who have been pregnant in the last 6 months;
• Smokers;
• People exposed to radiation especially in the neck area;
• If you are feeling fatigue, hair loss, impaired memory, muscle cramps, poor tolerance to cold. 

Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH)

Thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) is a hormone produced by the pituitary gland of the brain. TSH stimulates the thyroid gland to produce thyroxine (T4) and triiodothyronine (T3). These hormones regulate the body’s metabolism and functions like energy expenditure, cardiac function, muscle physiology and substrate turnover.

Free Thyroxine (FT4)

Free thyroxine (FT4) is the biologically active form of thyroxine, a hormone produced in the thyroid gland to regulate your metabolism. Raised FT4 levels can indicate an overactive thyroid (hyperthyroidism), low FT4 levels can indicate an underactive thyroid (hypothyroidism).

Triiodothyronine (T3)

Triiodothyronine (T3) is one of the two vital hormones produced by the thyroid gland, playing a crucial role in regulating the body's metabolism. T3 is considered more biologically active than thyroxine (T4) and is produced both directly by the thyroid gland and through the conversion of T4 to T3 in other cells of the body. This hormone plays a critical role in various bodily functions, including proper growth and development, maintaining the healthy functioning of the central nervous system, as well as influencing mood and energy levels. Variations in T3 levels can indicate thyroid disorders and other metabolic issues.
